Cheap adaptable/universal EGR valves
Universal/adaptable EGR valves
The ERG valve ensures the recirculation of exhaust gases. However, it is the origin of the majority of diesel engine failures. Focus on this essential element of the engine.
What is the ERG valve universal/adaptable
The universal ERG valve consists of an element of the diesel engine which ensures the reduction of toxic gas emissions into the air. The presence of this part has been made compulsory on engines thanks to European anti-pollution standards. Note, however, that this element can be the source of certain malfunctions in the diesel vehicle.
ERG is the acronym for Exhaust gas recirculation. Also known as the ERG valve and ERG valve, the ERG valve was invented in the United States during the 1970s. The part was tested by General Motors. The part works when the motor is at low load. The element reduces NOx emissions from the engine, making it less polluting.
How the ERG valve works universal/adaptable
The reduction of NOx emissions is made possible by reducing the maximum combustion temperature. When the diesel engine runs at low speed or even idling, part of the exhaust gas is not burned. This phenomenon causes the engine to release excess nitrogen oxide and fine particles into the air. To compensate for this error, the valve part redirects the gases towards the injection, in order to burn them a second time, this is the principle of an EGR valve.
This system, however, causes clogging of the injection system. Over time, the EGR valve becomes clogged with soot. If the clogged valve flap remains closed, the vehicle operates, but pollutes the air more. However, opening the valve can alternate with the proper functioning of the intake system. This is why it is essential to regularly maintain this part of the engine.
