Timer relay

A timer relay allows a device to operate at a specific time or for a specific duration automatically. It thus allows actions to be shifted over time. It is thus an element which is used to control the triggering of an action at a precise moment or for a time determined according to the function of the organ to be controlled, because it authorizes the shift of actions over time.

Operation of the Timer relay

The role of the time delay relay is to open or close one or more contacts with a time delay previously defined by the user. When the timer works, with a small delay, it opens the contact(s) by switching on the power while switching off occurs instantly. On the other hand, during the rest delay, its function is to close the contacts with a certain delay in time while powering up occurs instantly.

These types of relays are useful for applications related to a precise moment of use or a precise duration of an action such as managing the operating time of a device, delaying an action, flash an indicator light, authorize or prohibit an action, etc.
