The function of the additional LED brake lights
The additional brake lights are secondary lights whose function is identical to the main brake lights. Their role is thus to warn other drivers of stops, but also of vehicle braking. Main brake lights are mandatory, unlike additional brake lights which are not. They can be placed on different sides of the vehicle although they are most often found at the rear of vehicles. Depending on its location, the size of the additional fire varies. It is generally long and rectangular in shape, it can also be round for side brake lights for trucks. Additional brake lights can in fact be located all along a vehicle, particularly for trailers and semi-trailers which can be placed on the side sides.

Regulations relating to brake lights
Brake lights comply with certain standards and laws regarding road safety. The standards most often concern the power of light, the color of the fire, resistance to external aggression, etc. Additional lights are not subject to special provision, however, they must not be used as a primary replacement for the original brake lights. The power of the additional lights must also not be too powerful so as not to dazzle the vehicles behind. Just like the main brake lights, they must be red in color only.

Once the connector is located, all you have to do is connect the wires from your new light to this connector.
